In this book we get to see Sway and Jameson embark into a new journey while also keeping up with the high demands of there family. There are many scenes that break out heart, scenes that will make you laugh and scenes that will melt your kindles! It was more fast paced then the other two in the series and spans a bigger time frame, but it had a great flow and amazing characters. The only thing I wish was different was when the time jumps happened, that the author would have used headers to let us know. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Jameson and Sway are the couple everyone wants to be. The Riley's are the family everyone wants to have. JAR racing is the team everyone want to be a part of. This series is just so AMAZING!!!

I love Shey Stahl books its official, 4 of my top 10 books this year are written by her.The Champion picks up where Black Flag left off, and we are back with our old gang again.In this book we see our old pals mature into some what mature adults as they grow together. There are characters added, characters lost,tragedies to over come but they do it together and thanks to shey stahl we have the honor of being witness to them.The characters in this book over come all the angst, normal everyday people have raising kids, trying to make time for significant others and grief over lost ones, granted their ways are far more flamboyant than most,but that is what makes this series so enjoyable and makes me laugh so hard.I would not read this book without reading the others in the series to properly understand some references,but believe me those books are no hardship to read.Congratulations Shey Stahl on a great addition to the series and i look forward to The Lengend.
I cannot describe just how much I love these books. Usually by the 4th book in a series, you are just like come on is this over yet but not with The Champion. Reading Jameson and Sway's love story never gets old. I loved seeing them truly grow up and them as parents is a hoot. Love love love this book.
The relationships are so real. There are so many times I went from laughing to crying. The authors ability to make you feel like your part of the family is insane!
The Champion is proof positive that a successful professional career is attainable along with a happy and fulfilling private life. Does it take tending and adjustments? Absolutely! Are there bumps in the road along the way? You bet. This story picks up right after the end of Jameson's Rookie Year as a NASCAR driver and as Jameson and Sway begin their lives together as a new family. Laughs, hoots and howls abound as I looked over the shoulders of both Jameson and Sway coping with pregnancy and parenthood, living together and making the best of their family who are uniquely theirs. The story progresses through the first twenty-three years of their married life with the many highlights, incidents, family time episodes and milestones that Jameson and Sway address or learn to handle together. This is also a continuation of Jameson's dedication to a sport that he truly loves striving with everything that he's got to be the best that he can possibly be while learning to balance his professional life with the love that he has for his private life and his growing family. There's never a dull moment as you put yourself in that car with Jameson and experience the rush as he races at speeds close to 200 mph. And with new personalities along with a few old ones come challenges for Jameson and Sway to maneuver. One of the very special treats in this story is the introduction over the years of the kids. They become such an integral part of the story and wrap both Jameson and Sway in their charm as children can. You'll adore the baby times, the "missing words" in their speech times, the attitude times, the "making the best of a good thing" times and the sibling closeness. But my favorite was "the sex talk." It's never too soon and sometimes already too late. Trust me, it was harder on Sway and Jameson and kept me laughing all the way through it. This story is full of humor, drama, tension, love and learning to adapt. There's so much in this story to appreciate, care about, treasure and value. Jameson's still cocky and Sway's his perfect match knowing exactly what he needs and when he needs it.
I read this whole series straight through, 10 books and I still wanted more. Don't get me wrong each book had their own awesome beginning, middle and end, I just grew to love these people and what they do I want more. Each and every book is worth more than 5 stars!!
